We believe ranch should be simple and balanced.  It should compliment the dish, not overwhelm it. Creamy yet fresh, tangy with a touch of acidity, and finished with a subtle herby note.

Our recipe keeps things simple, just ranch done right. One taste and you’ll be roped in.

A Family Business

We’re Cora, Charlie, and Henry. For as long as we can remember, Ranch has been part of our lives.

Food is not just something we eat. It is what we live and work around.

We photograph it, design for it, strategise for it.

Our careers are built on it.

Growing up in Wyoming, Ranch was everywhere, on carrot sticks, in school cafeterias, and at the ranches that made up much of the state. Cora's dad even ran a restaurant where nearly every dish came with a side of ranch (those Ranch dollars paid for her uni degree).

When we moved to Australia, Ranch disappeared from our lives.

So we started making our own.

First for ourselves, then for friends, then for dinner parties.

People loved it.

We loved talking about it.

And eventually, we thought: why not make a proper Ranch dressing for Australia?

Lone Star* is our way of sharing the sauce we grew up on.

Now it is made here, with Australian ingredients, for every table that has been missing it.

Ranch Rules

  1. Ingredient integrity
    know what’s in your bottle.
  2. Everything in moderation
    except maybe Ranch.
  3. Tread lightly
make it delicious, make it responsibly.
